Sometimes a  little history lesson is needed.  They don’t have to be long winded and boring.  Just a reminder that history repeats itself.  It can be simple and to the point.  I want you to think about these almost 600 year old ideas …

5 Business and Leadership Lessons from

“The Prince” by Machiavelli in 1532

“Whosoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times.”

“Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.”

“Never was anything great achieved without danger”

“I’m not interested in preserving the status quo; I want to overthrow it.

“The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.”

I can’t improve on any of this info.  It’s golden.  Classic wisdom for the ages.  My point is to think about these points and incorporate them into your business.  Consider this a mentor moment from the Renaissance Business Master.

Step back and look at your obstacles and opportunities.  Challenge the status quo.  Give your employees a performance review and encourage their growth.  Maybe I am going old school, but these are all brilliant things to do in any profitable business.  Kirsten
