Study the Great CEOs

Maybe it’s because I lived in NYC for so many years, but my favorite CEO is Donald Trump.

I’ve followed Donald’s business adventures for years. Heck, I remember when he was married to Ivana!  One thing I like is the fact that he’s been both wildly successful and totally bankrupt.

I just finished reading his book, Think Like A Champion. It was a series of quotes and thoughts about different areas of business and life.  As I read the book, I kept hearing his voice.

Here are a few of my favorite chapters which read like a list of “Trump-isms”.

• Think Big and Live Large – don’t settle for the average, typical ho-hum
• Develop a Tempo – the CEO sets the rhythm which is really the work ethic
• Get the Best People You Can – only hire people of a high standard and background
• Learn From Setbacks and Mistakes – there’s something to learn from everything
• Build Your Reputation – a good one is fabulous, a bad one is devastating

You may be wondering, what’s this got to do with Maximizing My Profit?  My point is to continue learning and you’ll continue to succeed.

It doesn’t matter which CEO you choose – just start reading their books.  Study the entrepreneurs who are willing to share their insights.  The inspiration and wisdom from the experts is contagious and will change your perspective.

I’m fascinated by the experiences shared by the great CEOs – from Bill Gates to Oprah Winfrey, from Ray Kroc to Sean Combs.  This list is diverse, but each has impacted my business bottom line.
